Inventory I. Useless things

2009. Digital print. 70 x 70 cm. Polaroids 10 x 10

This project aimed to map and categorize a living space through a complete inventory of everything in the studio apartment where I was living at the time.

During the process, I realized I had been keeping a red box filled with things that were no longer needed, yet for some reason had not been thrown away. The red box had become a filter between the useful and the useless.

The installation consisted of a visual map in which objects were listed according to where they were kept, along with Polaroid images of the items in the red box. During the exhibition, visitors were invited to give advice on what should be done with these things.
